NYC Gluten Free Restaurants

Below is a list of NYC restaurants/bakeries that I highly recommend visiting. Of course there are many more gluten free options in this great city, but these are the ones I will always go back to again and again.

Several of these restaurants are 100% gluten free. Several are NOT 100% gluten free but are very careful with cross contamination and take celiac disease extremely seriously.

***Updated March 2023***

Some 100% gluten free restaurants have added gluten to their menus without clearly announcing this to the local community. Things are changing quickly during the pandemic. Even if a restaurant is known for being 100% GF or having excellent safety policies, please inquire with the restaurant directly to confirm their current policies before dining.

Because this is a list of restaurants that I personally love and trust, I have made the decision to remove restaurants that have chosen to not be fully transparent about the above mentioned issue. If you have questions about my experience with a specific eatery not listed on this page please feel free to send me an email.

Disclaimer: All opinions are my own. I only recommend restaurants and bakeries that I love. However, I am not a doctor and cannot be held responsible for any food related reactions you may have. Be aware that restaurants, bakeries and companies can change ingredients and allergen policies at any time. Always take your health into your own hands. Always call the restaurant yourself to verify their allergen information and make sure that it is appropriate for your needs.
