Have you heard the news? Walkers Shortbread now has a gluten free line of cookies! Okay, so their products have been available for almost a year, but I loved learning more about this company. Founded in 1898, Walkers Shortbread is still family-owned/managed. They are well known for their tins of classic shortbread, and now they are sharing their beloved cookies with the gluten free community.
The new line of Gluten Free Walkers Shortbread is certified gluten free by the UK Coeliac Society and tests under 20ppm. Every batch is tested before being released. If you’re worried about a major change from their original recipe, don’t stress – the gluten free variations contain the same amount of butter and sugar, but the wheat flour is replaced with rice flour, maize flour and potato starch.
Walkers Shortbread’s promise? – “All the pure-butter taste, aroma, and texture you love, but without the gluten.”

There are three flavors to choose from (make sure any box you buy says gluten free!)
